CURRENT AUDITION OPPORTUNITIES
Out Front Theatre Company is excited to announce auditions for our 2026-27 season production of Once Upon a One More Time, based on the music performed and recorded by Britney Spears, with book by Jon Hartmere.
WHEN: Virtual auditions will be accepted through Wednesday, June 10th, 2026. In-person auditions will be held on June 13th, 2026 from 10AM to 4PM at Out Front Theatre Company. Callbacks will take place in-person on Tuesday, June 16th and Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Out Fron Theatre Company. Please note that actors will not be held the entire callback. Specific times will be sent via email to those invited to callbacks.
WHERE: Please submit your audition form HERE. Please upload your virtual audition to a video sharing platform (Youtube, Vimeo, etc.) without password protection. Please do not submit a download link. Videos that must be downloaded will not be accepted.
WHAT TO PREPARE:
- 16 to 32 bar cut of a 1990s or early 2000s pop song or a selection from a pop- inspired musical score (i.e., &Juliet, Six, Moulin Rouge, etc.) Please don’t prepare any Britney Spears for the audition.
- 30 second comedic monologue (the campier in style, the better!)
Audiences can always expect that Out Front will produce work that is by, for, and about queer stories and culture. Though we understand that there is no monolithic queer identity, we are committed to casting authentically and hope to empower all queer identifying performers, openly so or not, to submit themselves for consideration of roles that align with their lived experiences. We will never ask nor presume or assume identities but hope to provide meaningful performance opportunities for those who seldom see themselves on stage. We will treat performers with respect and discretion in hopes of empowering all who honor us by sharing their talents.
